Congratulatory Message
Greetings.
I am Lee Sang Hyun, President of the Korea Cycling Federation.
First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on the grand opening of ‘Tour de Gyeongnam 2025’,
an event poised to soar as one of Korea’s premier cycling competitions.
I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the officials of Gyeongsangnam-do Province, Tongyeong City, Geoje City, Sacheon City,
Namhae County, and Changwon City for their dedication and tireless efforts in making this event possible.
To all the riders and team members from around the world, esteemed guests, and cycling enthusiasts who have gathered to celebrate this occasion,
I offer my deepest appreciation and warmest welcome.
Cycling is not only beneficial to health and the environment but also an ideal means of transportation that can help alleviate traffic issues.
Especially in times of high fuel prices, the widespread adoption of bicycles contributes significantly to energy conservation and national economic efficiency.
Gyeongsangnam-do, in particular, has demonstrated its commitment to public health and environmental sustainability
by expanding its cycling infrastructure and operating Korea’s first public bike-sharing service, Nubija.
As a cycling-forward region, I am confident that this event—featuring a course that connects some of the world’s most scenic coastlines
and historic cities—will further boost tourism and invigorate the local economy.
Held amidst the beauty of nature during the most picturesque season, ‘Tour de Gyeongnam 2025’ will continue to grow and establish itself
as a leading international cycling event in Asia. At the same time, it will contribute to broadening the cycling community in Korea and fostering a vibrant cycling culture.
I also hope it becomes a meaningful occasion where cycling enthusiasts and their families can experience the joy and health benefits of riding together.
Dear all riders from around the world,
May you fully demonstrate the skills you have honed through hard work and training, achieve excellent results,
and take home wonderful memories of Gyeongsangnam-do’s stunning coastlines and landscapes.
Once again, I sincerely congratulate you on the grand opening of ‘Tour de Gyeongnam 2025’,
and I wish all participants health, safety, and good fortune.
June 4, 2025
Lee Sang Hyun
President, Korea Cycling Federation
