
Gyeongnam province will host the Tour de Gyeongnam 2025, an international road cycling competition, from June 4 to 8 across five southern coastal cities and counties: Tongyeong, Geoje, Sacheon, Namhae, and Changwon. Organized by the province in partnership with the Gyeongsangnam-do Sports Council and the Korea (Gyeongnam) Cycling Federation, the race marks its second year and its first inclusion in the International Cycling Union (UCI) Asian Tour. World-class cyclists are expected to compete across a total distance of 553 km, promoting the region’s coastal scenery and historic battle sites linked to Admiral Yi Sun-sin. The Namhae leg of the race will take place on June 7, starting at 10 a.m. from Namhae-eup Indoor Gymnasium.
Riders will cover a 123 km course passing through major points including Seomyeon, Gohyeon-myeon, Seolcheon-myeon, Nam-myeon, Idong-myeon, Sangju Beach, Mijo-myeon, and the German Village in Samdong-myeon before finishing near KT Plaza in Namhae-eup. Spectators can follow the race via a live screen set up in front of the gymnasium. From 12:20 p.m., the venue will also host entertainment programs including musical performances, community events, and prize giveaways.
