I sincerely welcome you to Changwon, the hub city of Northeast Asia, where the grand finale of the Tour de Gyeongnam 2026 will take place after an inspiring journey showcasing the charm and potential of Gyeongnam.

First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Governor Park Wan-soo of Gyeongsangnam-do, Chairman Kim Oh-young of the Gyeongsangnam-do Sports Council, and all officials and staff whose passion and dedication made this event possible.

Changwon is a city where the sea, mountains, and advanced industries coexist in harmony. We are truly delighted that this event provides an opportunity to introduce our beautiful scenery and the competitiveness of our city to the world.

This year’s Changwon stage is especially meaningful. For the first time, the race course has moved beyond Jungang-daero, the traditional center of the event, to the newly developed Marine New Town, a place symbolizing Changwon’s future vision. This new course represents the beginning of a true urban festival that connects closely with the daily lives of citizens, while showcasing the dynamic harmony of the city and the sea.

Dear athletes, On this final stage, I hope you will fully demonstrate the skills and determination you have built throughout this journey. Beyond competition and results, may the spirit of friendship and fair play fill the city of Changwon. And as this marks the final stretch of a long journey, I sincerely wish for all athletes to cross the finish line safely without injury.
