I sincerely welcome all athletes who have come to Tongyeong, a leading coastal tourism city of Korea’s South Coast, to participate in the 「Tour de Gyeongnam 2026」.


I would also like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all officials and staff

whose dedication and hard work have made this event possible. It is through your efforts and passion that this race can truly shine.


Tongyeong, where the historic victory of Admiral Yi Sun-sin at the Battle of Hansan still lives on, is a city where rich history meets the breathtaking scenery of Hallyeosudo. It is also a place where culture, arts, and sports exist in harmony. In particular, the roads that stretch along the blue sea and coastline provide an ideal environment for cycling, making Tongyeong a beloved destination for both professional riders and enthusiasts.


Tongyeong has continuously hosted a variety of international and national sporting events, including gran fondos, cycling festivals, and the World Triathlon Cup. Through these efforts, we have strengthened our city’s competitiveness and enhanced local vitality through sport. Building on this experience and capacity, we have made every effort to prepare this event to provide athletes with a high-quality racing environment and unforgettable moments.


The courses in Tongyeong, while offering stunning scenery, also present a continuous series of challenges. They will serve as a unique stage that tests your skills, strategy, and mental strength. We are confident that the enthusiastic support from our citizens along the course will also give you great encouragement.
